- What is freeze-dried candy?
- We start with everyday store-bought candy, then use a freeze-dryer to remove moisture. Flavors stay, but the texture gets light, crunchy, and puffy. See How it is Done for the full adventure.
- Does it taste different?
- You still get the same core flavors — just crunchier and often a bit louder on the tongue because of the airy texture.
- How long does it stay fresh?
- Keep bags sealed in a cool, dry place. Small batches are made for enjoying soon — reseal after opening so the crunch lasts longer.
- Where is Evolution Sweets located?
- We're based in Nacogdoches, TX. Free pickup there, or local delivery to nearby counties.
- Can I pick up my order?
- Yes — free local pickup in Nacogdoches is always available. After you pay, we pack and contact you to arrange a handoff time.
- Do you deliver or ship?
- We offer local delivery to Nacogdoches, Angelina, Cherokee, Rusk, Shelby, San Augustine, and Panola counties (fee and order minimum by county). We don’t mail packages. Angelina deliveries run Monday & Wednesday; other days vary by route.
- What are delivery fees and minimums?
- Nacogdoches & Angelina: $5 fee, $10 candy minimum. Cherokee, Rusk, Shelby & San Augustine: $10 fee, $20 minimum. Panola: $15 fee, $25 minimum. Free pickup has no delivery fee.
- How quickly will my order be ready?
- Orders are hand-packed after payment. If a batch is still in the freeze-dryer, we may need a little extra time — we’ll reach out about the handoff.
- What about food allergies?
- Base candy is store-bought and keeps the original allergens. We freeze-dry in a small family kitchen that is not a dedicated allergy-free facility. Check original candy labels and contact us with questions before ordering.
- Do you take custom or event orders?
- Sometimes, depending on capacity. Contact us with the date, size, and flavors you have in mind.
- Can I order for a birthday party?
- Yes — place an online order for local pickup, or contact us if you need help with timing and quantity.
- What sizes do you sell?
- Small bags are about 2.5 oz ($5) and Large bags are about 5 oz ($10).
